On March 14, 2022, Ukraine became a full member of the Regional Group of the Central European and Baltic States (CEBS) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The CEBS regional group includes 20 countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Montenegro).

The decision to transfer Ukraine to the CEBS Group was approved by the consensus of all its member states.

Since 2017, when Ukraine first announced its intention to join the CEBS, the delegation to WIPO has made considerable efforts to reach a consensus in the Regional Group to support Ukraine’s aspirations.
