In 2019, the total number of retail space in Ukraine increased by 16%. At the same time, the average vacancy rate grew up only at 1.5% pp – up to 4.5%.

In 2020-21, even more rapid growth is expected – if the declared facilities are put into operation on time, the market will almost double.

The growing income of Ukrainians, the growth of retail trade and the introducing of high-quality commercial real estate attract international brands to Ukraine that were not previously officially present in the country. In 2019, the Ukrainian market came, among others Decathlon, The North Face, Escada, Claudie Pierlot, Missha, Weill, and Pylones.

In 2020, official representatives of the following brands are expected on the Ukrainian market: The Kooples, Stella Mc Cartney, Versace, Coach, Elisabetta Franchi, Kipling, Home & You, TAF, 4F, FLO, Funday. Eataly, Steve Madden, Sephora, Deichmann, and Debenhams are also considering entering the market.
