The representative office of Lindt & Sprungli in Russia did not comply with the warning from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) and the Service initiated a case on grounds of violation of the Law on Protection of Competition.

When promoting Lindt chocolate, the company focused on a long tradition of production, a high reputation of the manufacturer and guaranteed product quality.

Such information, placed on chocolate packages, gives the consumers the impression that they are being offered the same product that is produced and sold under the same brand in Western Europe.

However, the FAS found qualitative differences in the chocolate sold in Russia and abroad under the Lindt brand.

Since the manufacturer Lindt did not respond to the warning, the FAS started a case based on the presence of signs of violation of antitrust laws.
