In October 2019, an evil-doer, by guessing login and password, logged in to another person’s account in the online game “World of Tanks”. After that, he sold the tank belonging to the player’s profile to a third party.
During the trial, the accused admitted his guilt fully and sincerely repented of his deed.
The District Court of Zaporozhye found the accused guilty of an offense under Art. 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized interference with the operation of computers, automated systems, computer networks, which led to a leak and violation of the established routing of information) and sentenced him to a fine of 10,200 hryvnias, as well as compensation expenses for attracting an expert in the amount of 6,280 hryvnias.
