Following the Eurasian Patent Office, Azerbaijan was the first among EAPO member countries to introduce the technology of working with 3D models in patent applications.
Thus, the national agency of Azerbaijan plans to introduce a procedure for accepting and considering applications for inventions, utility models, and industrial designs, the materials of which contain three-dimensional models.
This innovation makes it possible to significantly facilitate the process of examination of applications, to identify and demonstrate the characteristics of the declared object in more detail.
As a reminder, the EAPO announced the beginning of accepting three-dimensional models when submitting applications for the issuance of Eurasian patents on inventions and industrial designs in the autumn of 2022.
