The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine stopped the activities of an underground workshop for the mass production of counterfeit alcohol in the Kyiv region.
The attackers carried out the production using the appropriate equipment, by mixing alcohol and aromatic additives.
The alcoholic beverages were produced under the guise of vodka, cognac, whiskey and rum in bag-in-box packages, which were marked with the following trademarks: Metaxa, Finlandia, Jack Daniels, Hennessy, Chivas Regal, Captain Morgan, Becherovka, Jameson, Bacardi, Jim Beam, Smirnoff, Finsbury, etc.
Later, these products were sold via the Internet without sticking excise tax stamps.
According to the results of the search at the place of manufacture and storage of counterfeit products, about 2,000 liters of alcoholic beverages were seized, as well as equipment for their manufacture and a vehicle that was used to transport counterfeit products.
