According to the report of the Global Innovation Index 2020, Ukraine climbed two positions and became 45th among 131 countries in the global innovation ranking.
Most of all, Ukraine added in the categories “Knowledge” and “R&D” – plus 20 and 10 positions, respectively.
Also, Ukraine retained 2nd place among 29 lower-middle-income countries – behind Vietnam and ahead of India.
Vietnam (42nd), Greece (43), Thailand (44), Romania (46), Russia (47), India (48) next to Ukraine in the global ranking.
As in the previous year, Switzerland topped the overall rating. The top 10 also includes Sweden, USA, UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Singapore, Germany, and South Korea.
The last 131st place was taken by Yemen.
