The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan received and reviewed a complaint from Puma SE (Germany) regarding the infringement of the “PUMA” trademark by a local company, LLC “P.B.”.
Following an investigation, it was established that LLC “P.B.” had been offering counterfeit goods for sale that were produced using the “PUMA” trademark.
As a result, the Ministry imposed a fine of 41 million Uzbek soums (~USD 3,500) and ordered the cessation of all activities infringing upon the “PUMA” trademark rights.
