Official fees for a range of intellectual property procedures in Uzbekistan will increase from September 1, 2026, following an increase in the country’s Base Calculation Amount. The Base Calculation Amount will rise by approximately %.
The Base Calculation Amount is used in Uzbekistan to determine numerous state duties, fees and other statutory payments.
The adjustment will affect trademark applicants and owners in particular, as filing, examination, registration, renewal and several post-registration actions are calculated using this statutory indicator.
For instance, for trademark applications filed by legal entities, the official fee for filing and examination of a trademark in one Nice class will increase from UZS 2,472,000 (~ USD 209) to UZS 2,640,000 (~ USD 223), while the fee for each additional class will increase from UZS 412,000 (~ USD 35) to UZS 440,000 (~ USD 37).
The trademark registration fee for one Class will rise to approximately USD 430.
These increases apply to national fees and should be distinguished from WIPO fees payable under international registration systems, which are established separately.
