On February 17, 2020, by the order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ermek Kuantyrov was appointed director of the state enterprise the National Institute of Intellectual Property.
He replaced Erbol Ospanov, who held this position since 2017.
Ermek Kuantyrov is 30 years old, has been working in the bodies of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan since 2014. Previous position – Deputy Director of the Department of Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice. In 2017-2019 held the position of Deputy Director of Kazpatent.
He received a Master of Laws (LL.M.), Columbia University (USA). He was also educated at Tomsk State University (Russia) and the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University.
