Since the beginning of 2019, almost all retail chains have increased the number of their stores and plan to continue this trend in the future.

ATB Market, the largest chain of food stores in Ukraine, has opened 35 new stores and reconstructed 16 premises in the first half of the year. By the end of the year, the chain plans to open more than 100 new stores and reconstruct about 50.

Silpo retailer plans to open 17 new stores in 2019. And in the period 2020-2023, the retailer intends to open another 10 new supermarkets each year.

Thrash! sales network, which began operations in 2016, has already reached 37 stores.

Kopiyka, Pchelka Market, MarketOPT, Nash Krai and Rukavichka chains are also constantly expanding their networks, opening almost every month new stores in different regions of the country.

The Danish home appliance brand JYSK is in the process of opening two new stores, expanding its network in Ukraine to 54 outlets.

At the same time, occupancy of rental space in shopping centers is approaching 100% – the highest number since 2012.

Retail sales since the beginning of the year in Ukraine grew by 10.1%. The ten largest retailers increased tax payments in the first half of 2019 compared to the same period in 2018 by 29%.
