The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine divided the State Fiscal Service into the State Tax and State Customs Services.
New services will be created as separate central executive bodies. The government will coordinate their work through the Ministry of Finance.
The commission, which will be engaged in the reorganization of the State Fiscal Service, is headed by Serhiy Verlanov, Deputy Minister of Finance.
The competition for the heads of the tax and customs services will be held within three months after the approval of the government decree.
The division of the State Fiscal Service into two services is one of the requirements of the International Monetary Fund under the new program of cooperation with Ukraine.
Tax and customs services in the single agency were merged in 2012.
